about us.

Jplus Consulting was formed in 2009 by Dr Peter King and Associate Professor Marcel Maeder to facilitate the commercialisation of novel multivariate data analysis technologies and provide associated consultancy services for academic and industrial chemical process investigations.

The resulting software applications are based on innovative multivariate data analysis and reaction modeling techniques, pioneered by Professor Maeder at the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia and earlier whilst at the University of Basel in Switzerland. An acknowledged expert in chemometrics and reaction modeling techniques in particular, Professor Maeder has developed unique insights and numerical approaches for the global analysis of multivariate spectrophotometric data in order to elucidate the underlying reaction mechanism and its fundamental parameters. He is co-author of the textbook ‘Practical Data Analysis in Chemistry’ Elsevier 2007.

Dr Peter King has collaborated with Professor Maeder for more than 15 years, commercialising a number of novel multivariate data analysis applications to complement advances in the data collection capabilities of modern analytical spectrometers. He has extensive technology commercialisation and R&D management experience in the scientific instrumentation, software development and biotechnology sectors gained in the UK and Australia.

In addition Jplus have access to a network of key scientific advisors with international reputations in the field, who provide critical scientific advice to our product development.

Working in collaboration with customers, clients and instrument development partners, Jplus Consulting can provide a unique combination of analytical software and advice to best exploit the ever increasing richness of multivariate chemical process measurements.
